NEW YEAR RESET SMOOTHIE

Overdid it last night? This one’s for you. Banana + pineapple + ginger + lemon + a spoon of honey = hydration + energy + stomach support. Blend and feel human again.

Serves: 1 large or 2 small

Time: 3 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS

1 banana (fresh or frozen)

1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)

1 cup coconut water (or cold water if you don’t have it)

1 tablespoon honey (Wattlebird of course)

1 tablespoon Greek yoghurt (optional but recommended)

1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)

Juice of 1/2 lemon (or 1–2 tbsp bottled lemon juice)

A pinch of salt (sounds odd, but it helps hydration)

4–6 ice cubes (optional)

 

METHOD

1. Add everything to a blender.

2. Blend for 30–45 seconds until smooth.

3. Taste and adjust. Too tart? Add a bit more honey. Too thick? Add more coconut water or water.
